Inline Painting

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I am the manager of Las Reynas Painting. We were contractually hired by Inline Painting’s vice president Sean Armstrong to perform minor remodeling and painting for 5 units. He signed the contract stating that Las Reynas Painting is only responsible for minor remodeling and painting which included spot priming and spot finishing and laying off of one of the walls as well as painting doors and frames. As manager of Las Reynas Painting, I make sure jobs are done in a timely manner. I was noticing that this particular project was taking too long for minor remodeling. I confronted the owner to identify why it was taking so long and he informed me that Inline Painting wanted him and his team to paint the 5 units entirely which was not defined in the contract. I reminded the owner of Las Reynas Paining of the contract that was signed and he presented it to Sean Armstrong. In the contract, the cost of the minor remodeling and painting was $700 a unit. Sean Armstrong added things for Las Reynas Panting to do and that was not in the contract. He then asked the owner, if he would paint all 5 units entirely for $1,000 each which is cheap labor for whole units. Sean Armstrong tried to coerce the owner in signing a contract that he didn’t agree with and then asked him if he would become an hourly worker. The vice president of Inline Painting refused to give the owner of Las Reynas Painting the remaining 3 units as 2 of the units were completed unless we agreed to painting whole units. I reminded Sean Armstrong of the contract and that we were only responsible for minor remodeling and painting and not painting whole units, I included an invoice for a breach of contract requesting payment for the other 3 units that he refused to give us access to complete the minor remodeling and painting. He responded unprofessionally that it will not work nor will being reimbursed for the other 3 units happen. He stated that his crew had to redo and finish the units because of poor quality, which is completely false considering we were only responsible for minor remodeling and not painting whole units. Additionally, Las Reynas Painting prides itself in excellent quality, and to keep a better record we take before and after pictures of each project. We also worked for reputable companies that were satisfied with our work. Furthermore, Noah Galbraith, his foreman who supervised the units signed off on the completed units per contract with no complaints of our work. Sean Armstrong is unprofessional and how he handled this situation and instead of resolving this matter he is choosing to ignore it in hopes that it will go away. We would like payment for the breach of contract. Legal action is already being considered and we are proceeding accordingly.
