Such a big waste of time. The lawyer assigned to my case, Madonna McGrath, was very incompetent in my opinion. She did not show a good level of experience that’s expected when you ask a lawyer to handle a case. Experience is not how many years you worked as a lawyer, but rather how many years you actually know what you are doing as a lawyer!nnShe keeps asking the same questions multiple times in different phone calls, not to double check them but because she genuinely did not record my answers. She displayed a great lack of details in many occasions in my case. Once, she sent me a document of another client, signed by that client! Also, she couldn’t differentiate between a mortgage and a deed. She does not know when calculating an asset to take in consideration the amount of lien/loan on that asset. I think her actions in my case were discriminatory and I don’t believe that the organization would accept them, but maybe there is no questionability, accountability or monitoring by the organization.nnOne time, I asked her a logical question about an email content that she sent to me, she couldn’t give a good reason of her email so she snapped at me, saying that she is providing me a free service and I should be thankful to her generosity and not ask questions, then she asked me “do you know how much you would pay for another lawyer?”. I did feel humiliated during that phone call since she kept insisting that I should “bow for her kind majesty for providing a free service”, but due to my need of a lawyer, I swallowed all the insults. I told her that I plan to pay it forward by donating to the organization whenever I make more money in the future. Yet, I truly feel that such donation is going to the wrong place since the organization allows their lawyers to humiliate the clients for no good reason. I was always respectful and polite with her regardless of the insults and incompetence!nnResult: After two weeks of wasted time and due to the illustrated lack of Madonna's experience, she went and asked another lawyer about my case, gave that other lawyer wrong information, so he told her based on that wrong info that she can’t handle the case. I don’t mind that at all, I think it is a blessing that I did not have to continue with Madonna McGrath. I just felt sorry for the almost two weeks of wasted time.nnIn summary: Watch out and maybe go another route if you have the same lawyer that I got assigned. I did not encounter another lawyer in this organization so I can't judge them all, and my experience might be more positive if I had someone else.nnI did encounter the phone receptionist in this organization twice, they were very professional and polite.nnI ended up going with another reputable lawyer local to my area. He charged me $350 for the whole process! Almost nothing! I suggest to shop around, before going with this pro bono route where things fall apart.

They have so far been very helpful. The hold time on the phone was a bit if a pain but it's not like every call is the same. Was on hold about 25 minutes. Could have been much worse!
