A great Hawaiian/Pacific Fusion restaurant located near the bridge on the highway in Florence.nThe restaurant has surfboards and Hawaiian shirts on the ceiling, big tikis by the door and surfing movies playing on a flat screen TV.nA wide selection of sushi, burgers, tacos and plates such as Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken.nI selected the pork of the day, Kalua Pork.(pulled pork) and ordered it to go.nIt was busy when I arrived and it took about twenty minutes for my order.nThe staff was very friendly and helpful.nThe pork was moist and tender with great taste. The pineapple added a touch of sweetness to the pork.nThe plate had two scoops of rice and creamy macaroni salad.nA Passion Fruit juice drink rounded out my meal.nThe restaurant is following social guidelines for seating.nOne of the best Kalua Pork plates that I have tasted.nIf you are in Florence, make an effort to stop by and try some great food.

We went to the Hukilau while on a Road trip to Florence Oregon, they are open for indoor dining but we opted for take out. Really fantastic sushi, fresh salad with a killer macadamia nut dressing, veggie curry with rice & macaroni salad & a huge Prawn taco was our order. I showed up to pickup our order a little early and the woman working behind the counter was nice enough to come out to the car to let me know it was ready. The inside of the restaurant had a cool vibe and and the staff was super nice, so make sure you tip well.

Sushi snobs here; Absolutely the freshest, best prepared sushi my wife and I have ever had, hands-down! A “taste of the island” for sure. Went twice on our vacation and both times the food, service and ambiance were amazing. We were so impressed the first time, we had to go back again. Check out their story on their website if you’d like to know more about why this place is a must try. We will be coming back again the next time we are in the neighborhood. ~So good!

A true gem of the coastal community and a must try if visiting the area. The folks at Hukilau do a stellar job of providing updates on the daily specials via social media and they are very upfront about their services. They also really try to be honest about wait times for to go orders. If you do have a wait, it’s well worth it so be patient (and kind). These folks are doing their best and the community appreciates it.
