The BEST Mexican food (and margaritas) in Douglas county. Gilberto's is a family owned and operated restaurant that gives back to the community and treats customers like family. If you haven't tried the light and heavenly flan, you haven't lived. The shrimp nachos are beautifully plated and insanely delicious, and the albondigas soup will cure what ails ya! The salsa is made fresh every morning, and like everything they serve, is made with love. If it sounds like I'm raving, it is only because the food is SO good. Highly recommended!

My wife and I both ordered the flank steak and shrimp. The food was good but not great, a bit lacking in flavor. The beans were not good at all, and the serving sizes were small for the price. The service was great, however, and the restaurant clean and attractive.

To start off, I have to say that the service was so, so.nnNow as far as the food goes, the chicken mole was not that great and I bit into a small bone. The enchiladas that my girlfriend got was awful. The tortilla was raw and was just breaking apart.nnSalsa- OMG!! The salsas were the worst! No flavor, lacking salt, lacking heat!nnIf you want good salsa, hit me up in IG at Batwing_Lyft. I make amazing green and red salsas and you will know what good salsas are!

So yummy! I have loved the chicken burritos with enchilada sauce (it's like a gravy) since my college days! My kids favorite is the nachos which is like a work of art, each chip layered with each ingredient. Super yummy!
