My first camping trip as a Boy Scout was at Bear Creek back in the early to mid seventies. It was the perfect introduction to scouting. I sincerely hope that it is still being fully utilized for scouting.
Great rustic Scout camp. Only used as a day camp now so the Troop sites are all run down and not used but there are lots of trails to use. There are a couple of ponds, a creek, dining hall, bunk house, fire ring, shooting range, and so much more. I always enjoy my visits here. The front area is more like a local park with outhouses, but follow the road back across the creek and you get to the main camp area.
Sad to see it being sold. What a wonderful place and so many memories.
The staff is great. Very knowledgeable and great with the kids and lots of fun activities .
Beautiful camp! No nearby highways. Lovely trails.
