My husband & I got married here 10/24/2015, we stayed in one of the suites for the weekend. They did however change our room that we had previously reserved due to maintenance. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. We got married outback under a beautiful gazebo, wedding photographer was amazing, and again staff was very friendly. It makes me very sad to see all the negative reviews and the Inn actually close down. We had planned to come back every year to stay around our anniversary date, and we haven't been able to do that.

We got married and had a honeymoon at the Abbey in 2008. It's a fond memory. The website could be better, as it seems a bit unwelcoming. I guess they just want to cater to a specific demographic and have clear guidelines for that clientele. I would say the room we stayed in ( honeysuckle suite) was clean and private. We had a relaxed and romantic stay. The decor is not modern, the whole place overall was eclectic but in a nice way. The grounds are beautiful and although it's right in a main road, it was quiet and peaceful. The staff person was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend this place to couples who don't want to be glued to their electronics and want to focus on each other and spend some time in nature. We'd love to have a vow renewal ceremony on our anniversary and I can also recommend those services.nIf you read the website and you definitely get a full understanding of the requirements and I think you'll be pleased.

Laid back and relaxed experience. They took care of everything so I was free to enjoy my day. Such a pleasant group to work with. The grounds are beautiful. The new owners have made so many wonderful updates!

My husband and I stayed at the Abbey Inn this weekend. We stayed in room 1, I can't remember the flower name for it. When we got to the room we were a little disappointed to be honest. The room was clean but looked tired. Three of the four buttons on the hot tub didn't work, and the hot tub was infested with ants. We decided to make the best of it and took a walk. We happened to run into Julia who works at the inn. I expressed my concerns with the room and she thanked me for letting her know. About 10 minutes after we got back to our room Julia stopped by to let us know that a room that had originally been booked had come available and asked us if we'd like to change rooms. This room had been completely remodeled and was absolutely gorgeous. The decor was fresh and comfortable, the hot tub was brand new and worked perfectly. This was room 8, I don't know it's flower name. Basically, that was the experience we expected. If all the rooms are as nice as the room we were moved to then we will definitely be back.

The experience from the very beginning has been amazing. The room is very clean and fully stocked for our stay. The hot tub was hot and ready with a flat screen tv in the room. Not much more we could ask for. Best part of all no kids and the privacy here makes me feel comfortable and free. I would recommend this place for sure. We still have a few more days here and I will be sure to update if anything new happens. So far so good
