I was so looking forward to eat at Simmons Winery for pizza before I start another round of chemo. We walked into the restaurant and there were only about 6 tables occupied and about 4 to 5 waitresses. We waited for a long time for someone to come over and take our drink order, but no one came. I then got up after about 10 minutes and asked a waitress (that was cleaning another table) if anyone was going to wait on us and she said our waitress would be there shortly. After about another 5 minutes no one ever came. So, we decided to leave. On our way out we informed the hostess that no one ever came to take our order so we were leaving. Her response was “GOOD”. This was not the first time for slow service, but no service is unacceptable. We will never go back and if I could have given zero stars I would have. Poor way to run a business
We stopped for the night as HarvestHost members, and had tasting of some of their slushes, then back for dinner. Service was great. Food very good. This is our first stop on way south in the fall and last stop before returning home. Always good evening.
Extremely disappointed in the expansion. School lunch room made over.nWaited 45 minutes as a couple and watched multiple families/groups that arrived after us be seated. (2/15)nWe are local and had been customers multiple times a year with and without family.nThe warm & cozy environment was enough to overcome the mediocre customer service previously.
Me & my good friend (who has been here several times & wanted me to sample their wines) traveled over an hour, to Simmons Winery. This place was definitely worth it. Let me start by saying, the grounds were very striking! Beautiful outside venue, Gazebo, Shelter area, so relaxing. Now the wines, I'm a sweet wine person, but not overly sweet. Sampled 8 wines, loved them all, a few really stood out, the peach & rhubarb! Peach was lite & crisp, the rhubarb had the tart zing, that you expect & both were very smooth. The food was delicious also, it's brick oven pizzas were being consumed by adjoining tables at a high rate of speed! So they must of been good. My friend ordered a pasta dish, she said it was delicious & the garlic knots were very good. Over all, I will be back! And a Special Shout Out to Jean, she helped us with our wine sampling, very sweet lady, & a Very Hard Worker! They need to get that woman an assistant!!!
We waited more than an hour for a table. When we were seated, the table had not yet been wiped clean. We then waited another 30 minutes before our drink order was taken. When I received my pulled pork sandwich and fries, all my food was cold. I would have sent it back but our server did not come back to the table until she was asked to do so by a busboy that we were able to flag down. When I sent back my food, I let the server know I would not being paying for it nor did I want something else. She came back to the table and said the manager agreed to my statement. However, when we looked on the bill, we were still required to pay the required gratuity. If there is a second choice of restaurant to go to, I would recommend doing so. I will not be returning to Simmons Winnery ever.
