Wax Hair Salon

I tested negative and decided to come support a local business and get a haircut. The salon is now open and they have updated the space to be as safe as possible for guests and employees. There is a heated wardrobe that sanitizes robes, they use single-use plastic aprons and chair covers, gloves, and all scissors and tools are cleaned in sanitation devices. There is also a plastic partition at the cashier. I kept my mask and gloves on the entire time. You may want to allot an extra 10-15 minutes as staff are taking a bit more time to make sure they are taking as many precautions as they can for everyone's safety. Please consider tipping more than you normally would if you can, as they are taking a risk to open and service customers.nnI have been coming to Wax Salon on and off for 15 years and I keep coming back because they are the most skilled and consistent across the board, and offer the best value. A place like this in NYC would be at least double, if not triple the price.nnHair and getting a haircut is such an emotional experience for everyone. It is so important to be clear in your expectations so that everyone is happy with the end result!

I understand English is not everyone's first language in this country but communication is key- especially when I asked if they were qualified to provide balayage hair coloring and they BLATANTLY LIED and told me that they are. The OWNER of the salon turned my hair into such a mess, that every other salon I visited to salvage my hair, asked who did this to me.nnGoing to ANY other salon would've been better than the service I received here.

Our family have been going here many years and satisfied. One owner since the opening and their hair stylists are usually above average skilled and staying longer, which is very unusual in that industry. They installed plexiglass between seats, use dress sanitizer closet and UV sanitizer box for scissors, clippers and etc. to keep up with COVID-19 since they reopened so we felt safe. I advise to call and make an appointment as they don't take walk ins. They don't have parking lot but it is easy to find street metered parking nearby. Highly recommended.

My favorite salon. Great location and super friendly staff never lets me down. Owner is a really friendly lady. Call and schedule your cut and ask for “Q” as your designer/stylist. Very professional job done with many years experience. 5/5 ud83dudcaf

Out of all the hair styling places, this one that at least pays attention to detail. I've lived in many states, and at least they always leave mw satisfied with all of the haircuts I receive from them because it is always to hard to have a skilled stylist who doesn't mess my stuff up. I highly recommend because they always give you a wash and pleasing cut to what you ask and match the current trends to your face shape even when you ask for what they think is best suited for you.
