Bergen Arts and Science Charter High School

A good amount of the faculty is incredibly disrespectful towards specific students and they just never listen to what we have to say. They immediately throw you into detention for no good reason. The bullying policy is the absolute worst. The faculty does not care about any individuals. The only good thing about the school is the teachers who genuinely care about the us. How the hell can you not tolerate bullying when you can´t take legal issues when it comes to being threatened in the worst possible way. Disgusting.

From my honest opinion, this school's faculty, not including teachers, is very harsh on the students, and picky on the littlest things like wearing colored sneakers instead of black, which the student will get in trouble for. Dress code is more important than the students' education in this school. Getting ISS for not wearing what pleases them, and it affects your college acceptance, which doesn't matter to them. This school has more negative components rather than good. The amount of bullying in the entire school district, especially elementary school is insane. The faculty in this district wants power to punish the students, yet don't even bother to solve the problems, or stop the bullying. They give a bunch of surveys every single year about the students' feedback in different fields about the school, yet they never bother to fix anything. They pretend to care, just to look good, but do what's on their own minds, and aren't open to other opinions. I wouldn't give this school even one star but unless I rate it I can't write a comment.

I love the school.my son loves it too the teachers are a little tough on the students butnSometimes thats what they need as far as bullying they do not tolerate it .if there were my son would have told me about it and that is one of thier policies they do not tolerate bullying at all .it's a great school compared to the other schools in bergen cty .
