Michael & Sons Auto Sales

Bought my daughter a used car from Michael & Sons Auto Sales. They were easy to work with and the transaction was pretty painless. Everything went downhill after that. After the very first rain, we noticed the car floor was soaking wet (Enough to soak a bath towel). Apparently, there is some sort of leak originating from the sunroof. Still have not fixed this yet after multiple leaks so far. Then we noticed the car had a slow air leak in the rear left tire. The tire center said there was a bad repair plug in the tire and we had to replace both rear tires (awd cars requires both tires be symmetrical). So we replaced two tires. We also noticed the car had an expired inspection sticker so my daughter took it for an inspection and it failed. We had to pay $1250 to replace the left catalytic converter. (Note it seems like the same failed inspection thing happened to someone else so make sure you check the inspection sticker is not expired should you decide to purchase from this dealer). The car listing showed the car was on their lot for a few weeks so I am not sure how the dealer did not know about water leaking into the car as well as having a slow tire leak. My first used car purchasing experience and a lot of lessons learned. The car is a 2009 Cadillac CTS AWD with 70k miles. Additionally, make sure you know what you are signing when purchasing a used vehicle (a lot of paperwork) as the dealer has a form which waives any dealer liability for a failed inspection.--nnUpdated Response to the owners comments: I DID notify your son who processed the car sale via text message of both the water leak and the catalytic converter PRIOR to this review. The check engine light did come on soon after the car was purchased- really bad timing perhaps?.. Yes- you can temporarily reset the check engine light but I'm not inferring nor would I ever know if this this was previously done. The tire was losing 5psi per day but the car was sitting on your lot for over a month....Why did you sell me a car with an expired inspection sticker knowing there was a liability waiver in the documentation (shame on me for not reading the fine print)? This was an accurate and honest review meant to help the consumer. I am not sure what providing a $1000 discount on your suggested asking sticker price means.

Good selection of used cars with great service and good prices!

Went here to purchase my first car. I did go to other dealerships and all too looking for a car, but dealt with a lot of funny business. Here, the place was great. Very honest guys, gave off great vibes, and all together made buying my very first car great. Gave me confidence since they told me everything about the car I bought. Runs great too! Highly recommend this place!nnUpdate: Nearly a year since I bought a car from here. It still drives amazing. And not one issue. The Hyundai I got from here was so good that when I bought it to a service center to get some recall parts updated and fixed, they called me back to try and convince me to trade it in with them. Too bad I'm not cuz i really love this car. You guys are awesome, I really appreciate the honesty and great car you sold me! Super reliable and awesome.

Had a customer of mine who bought a truck couple weeks ago. Truck wound up having some issues after about a week of him having it. Called these guys and they stepped rite up to take care of issue. Good people helpful and knowledgeable. Buy with confidence they have my respect for standing behind what they sell.

A small dealership which makes it easier. Very nice owners and honest too. I was happy w my purchase and I believe others will be too.
