Square One Kids Academy

Square One is a fantastic preschool/daycare program. The facility is SPOTLESS, the staff are warm and engaging and Ms. Felicia runs a tight ship (which I love). My husband and I feel such comfort sending our children to school every day; they are very happy there and are learning so much. I always see the teachers interacting with the children and it never seems chaotic or in disarray. After a couple of different experiences in other programs, I can say that Square One beats out the rest and is a program that every parent should consider.

My son has been attending Square One Kids Academy for over a year and a half. As a first time mom, I was very anxious about sending my son to daycare/preschool but Square One made this transition easy for both my son and I. The school is new, secure, clean and has a great layout which consists of classrooms and activity rooms, such as a gym and library. The staff are all very caring, responsible and accommodating. My son adores his teachers and can’t say enough great things about them. At Square One, my son is always learning about new topics and expresses how much fun he has doing so. In addition, Square One offers activities such as dance, yoga and even kiddie soccer! I am very appreciative for the great care and early education that the Square One staff provide for my son and I am confident that he is attending the best daycare/preschool in the area.

My husband and I are completely satisfied with the staff and facility. Our two kids, ages four and a half and one and a half, attend Square One. Both kids seem secure and confident with their environment when we drop them off and pick them up; there’s no price tag for that type of feeling. There’s is an app that allows for direct and instant communication among ourselves and the teaches. The curriculum offers age appropriate structured learning and is appropriately balanced with the right amount of free time, which is so crucial for children’s creativity, development, and confidence. We feel secure in seeing that our one and a half year old trusts his teachers. Also, we attribute our four year old daughter’s ability to write her name to the teachers of the Blue Peacock and Brown Owl rooms. She has weak motor control and muscle strength in her hands, so writing her name was a big achievement for our daughter. We were thrilled when Ms. Felicia shared the mutual excitement in watching our daughter successfully write her name for the first time. Although it’s gut wrenching to not be able to be with our children during the day, we feel at ease with our decision to leave them in the care of the teachers at Square One. Our kids have meaningful interactions with all of the teachers, not just their classroom teachers.

My daughter started in the infant room when she was about 6 months old. She's been at the daycare for over a year now. The teachers that we've had have been very caring and take very good care of my daughter. When we leave, the other teachers and director, Felicia always say hi/bye to my daughter and know her by name which I think is very nice and personable. The center is very clean and I'm impressed by how much my daughter has learned since moving to the toddler room. This past winter, they rarely closed due to inclement weather and made any and all efforts to open. They use an app to update meals, potty, naps and to communicate with parents and they do a great job at updating it. I would definitely recommend this daycare center.

I brought my son to this school as it was the cleanest school I toured. We were happy for a little while then all of a sudden teacher after teacher left. There were literally 5 teachers leaving in a 6 month span. To me ... this draws some questions. Yes it’s a new school however if you can’t keep a teacher for a year you can’t expect your program to grow. Sad because it’s a nice looking school.
