The First Step Nursery School and Day Care Center Inc.

Have trusted the staff at The First Step for the last three years with the care of my daughter. Unfortunately, we had to find a daycare for our infant at the age of 4 months when my wife needed to return to work. Thankfully, we found a center that was loving and caring and provided the appropriate attention to such a young child. The care was exceptional and the staff loved on our daughter as much as our family did. Would highly recommend checking the center out if you are in need, especially for those that have to return to work so soon after birth.

I was really hoping that this would be a great experience as it is my first time enrolling my child into daycare, but all I can say is since I have enrolled my child into this daycare. My child has changed significantly, attitude and manners are out of control. I hold a firm household so my child has always behaved with others and with me. Since enrollment I've seen such a change and not for the better. I believe for the price point of this daycare, I would expect so much more. They also have a lot of young people working who are not skilled or trained for children development which really reflects on my child. They do not offer meals, they offer a catering service that's not included with in the tuition. You also get charged regardless if your child is sick or if its for the holidays, you will still get charged a full day. Since then i have pulled my child out of this school, the owner keeps the down payment regardless so don't expect that back, she uses it towards the month bc you have to inform her a month ahead if you do decide to unroll your child. I don't like that they don't keep you informed on your child's progress or actions unless you stop and ask them. I am so thankful I found a daycare more affordable and way more professional with healthy meals included in tuition. I always get daily reports on behavior or what my child learned that day and they even give me some tips to help with development at home, which shows me they care! I feel this daycare is extremely money hungry and the care is not with in the best interest of the children. Please do your research, look for the best fit for your child. As their early years are very critical for their development. I'm sure every parent wants what is best for their child and this is not it! I hope i helped a family with this review, i normally do not do this but this is our children we are speaking about so i had to.

A very detailed and clean daycare perfect for your children at any age! Plus it’s where I went to nursery school what more can you ask for than a business/school that’s been in business this long

I took my 3 month old daughter to first step and honestly as a first time mom i was so nervous to take her to day care , or get a nanny but i think this was the best decision i’ve made! All infant room stuff are amazing, truly caring and loving! it’s been over 10 month since she goes there and she has learned a lot! They call me every time there is an emergency even though it was only twice so far and hopefully no more, I really am very happy that she is surrounded with good people and enjoys spending time there! We are planning to have another baby soon and i will definitely take her/him to the first step!nnP.S. forgot o mention that the principle is very understanding and helpful in every way!

Both of my girls go to the daycare and love it! The First Step has such a warm feel to it that you can’t help but love. I just wanted to share something wonderful that the first step did for my daughter the other day. Everyday my daughter goes to school and sees the school bus. She loves the school bus but had never been in one. One of the staff members asked the bus driver if she could get a tour of the school bus and lucky for my daughter she was able to walk around the school bus and get a tour. She was soooooo happy. Those are the things I love about the school. Also I am a mom who calls a million times a day and my calls are welcomed not dismissed or rushed. I know my daughter is getting a great education as well since she comes home everyday learning something new. I am so happy with the daycare and there is no place that could make me feel more comfortable or happy sending my children. Thank you to all the staff for their constant love and patience.
