MJE is truly a melting part of what NY is all about in relation to Judaism and an epitome of the Jewish Community of the Upper West Side - very welcoming and spiritual home for everyone. The rabbis and their lectures are outstanding.

Really warm, welcoming Jewish community. It's a very open-minded modern orthodox Jewish community that is reaching out to unaffiliated Jews from all Jewish or with little or no Jewish background. There are all levels of observance and knowledge about Jewish rituals, customs and history. There are classes or learners services just about every day of the week. Just as important as the offerings, Rabbi Mark Wildes and his wife Jill have created a community that at its core is open to and welcoming to newcomers and those with much less Jewish connection - a city like NYC it's tough to find actual community...

These guys are the greatest explainers of spiritual mysteries of life from a jewish perspective. And if you are from the right demographic and looking for a sincere spiritual person of the opposite gender it is a place to be.
