Hamilton Fountain

Nice place , very clean .the rest of uptown side of riverside park should take note

I used to live up the block from there for 10 years and one of my friend used to put fish in there for the summer. Loved it!

It was part of my daily walk when i was living in Manhattan. I used it as reference for the Sun altitude at noon

this beautiful fountain is a reminder the past that it served horses with cool water and today it provides wildlife with a place to bathe and refresh. delightful.

It was cleaned up a few years ago to its former glory and is a lovely place to visit in Riverside Park, but at street level on 76th St. It's a historical landmark built by Alexander Hamilton's great grandson, Robert Ray Hamilton It's a baroque style water trough for horses.
