Box Car Hill Campground

Perfect location! Out of all the campgrounds with dune access, this is our favorite place to stay. We don't mind being right on the sand. Just lay a rug down to minimize the amount of sand tracked in to the rv. Great for families. Kids love playing on the sand hill and it really tires them out.

This is the best place to camp if you want to have direct access to the dunes. Has electrical hookups and water for your trailer and most sites are very level. Camp host is nice and they work hard to keep the place clean. 10 out of 10.

Awesome people running the place. Fun riding and great scenery. Definitely worth checking out.

I'm sure this would be a five star review if we had had access to the dunes/beach. The dunes were closed a week before we arrived and even during calls to verify if they were still open we were never told the dunes had been shut down. So we drove 10 hours to find out we could not ride more than their private acreage, which is 100 acres, but on the toys that room runs out fast. I'll give it another try when the world isn't ending, but as for this trip/experience it is what it is.
