Hannosuke

Tempura is one of my favorite Japanese food and this place were making it pretty good, until the last couple of my trip here. Oil they use is old and burned now that gives you heartburn after you eat. I will not eat tempura from this place again.

Been coming here for years, tempura never disappointed and the soba was pretty good. This time, found a green plastic thread from a dish sponge or something in my soba. The staff used the same bowl and swapped out the noodles, but I didn't want it anymore. They refused to refund, bring the manager, or provide a way to contact the manager. Very disappointed with the service, won't be back.

Ripped off completely, didn’t give 50% of the order, no way to call back or contact.

One of the food vendors at Mitsuwa Marketplace. This is certainly one of those places where the picture menu looks so much better than reality! We had to wait until 11am for them to open on a Saturday. One of the first 5 or so people in line. Ordered the shrimp tempura. Served over rice with a piece of broccoli, pumpkin and seaweed tempura. Also had a fried soft egg. Tempura wasn't a light golden color as expected. It was also soggy. Either old oil or not hot enough. It also didn't help that instead of serving sauce on the side, they pour it on top of the tempura which is supposed to be light, airy and crispy. I got the feeling that they don't care about quality cause there's so many people flooding into Mitsuwa Marketplace and they all need to eat. Thank goodness we only ordered one serving to share cause this was a total letdown.

Everytime I go to Mitsuwa marketplace I would try a different meal. I've seen friends order from hannosuke before but I haven't tried it until today. If you love tempura then then I would recommend it. Crunchy and nothing overcooked. Will have to try another set next time.
