Duane Reade

I have been going to this pharmacy for years, so I went to do return yesterday. Then I met this new girl at the register named Angelissa, which was rude and very disrespectful towards me for trying to return the expired baby food that they sell in the store, she told me that I was nasty after I was telling her that the foods are expired and they should be more careful because I could complain about them selling « expiring baby food « . She started to shout out and I the end won’t solve my problem because she was using her mouth instead of her head while I was telling her to use my phone number to track the transactions since she is asking for a physical receipt but I have the receipt kept on my photo or she could scan the bar code and it will still work. She called her supervisor and kept talking telling me that I could seat there for hours and she doesn’t care. I told her you should because if I called and complain, then it is bad for your store. So I went to the employees premise and requested to talk to the supervisor which took almost 20 min to come out after I already waited for 30 min so they kept ignoring me and now I started to recorded them. So when they noticed that then the supervisor finally refunded me and didn’t apologize. This is how frustrating I was but I know I am definitively done going there because they made me so upset.

I made a phone call to ask if we were eligible to recieve certain vaccines.nnThe staff at this pharmacy is extremely unprofessional.nnI believe it is criminal for a staff member to not clearly inform the customer of their name over the phone before hanging up/ putting call on hold.nnI believe I spoke with Ms. Evelyn.nnIf these phone calls are recorded and these pharmacies have any professional standards then I think a manager ought to look into this.

I have been visiting this location since they opened in my neighborhood. I have never had an issue. The place is always clean and organized. They are fast when they see the line is getting long, and the staff is always polite. Even to the rude and obnoxious customers. I have been to many Duane Reade locations around Manhattan and this one is still my favorite because of the reasons stated above. I am just waiting for them to start having the fresh sandwiches like others do.

I am calling them on the phone since 9:28 pm and it is 9:50 pm and no one still has not answered yet and online it says it is not busy so why is it taking so long to answer the phone someone should not have to be waiting this long to answer I understand it closes at 10 pm. this is very unprofessional.
