The Hill

Came here with my fiance on a quiet Monday night. The service from Jeff and his colleagues were very good. Food was tasty, cocktails were nice and the ambience of the place was very relaxing. It's a bit quiet out here but every now and then you need that type of dining experience and this is a must try.

Food is great! service is excellent. Please try squash soup and pumpkin cheese cake. Our favorite fine dining location....

10.29.2020 I just can't say enough good things about The Hill in Closter, NJ.nIt was my first time dining inside in a year. The set up was spacious and immaculate! The food was superb, as was the live entertainment, The Kootz!nThe Hill has wonderful taste in music, we enjoyed every song and every second!nThe fresh air is plentiful, the food and drink, top shelf.nMy friend and I truly needed an old fashioned night out and The Hill provided that, even with the rain falling, they still gave us VIP treatment and accommodations.nWe can't wait to go back again, I sure hope the same band will be playing when we do.nMany thanks to all the wonderful people who work at The Hill, you're the best!n'Looking forward to visiting during the holidays, you have a beautiful restaurant.nHappy Halloween! ud83cudf83 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Terrible service, misinformation. Took ZERO responsibility. We wanted to support local business. We had family together following a funeral, which we could have done at home.They lied to us about their outdoor seating. They lied about there ability to handle rain. They lied about the drinks available. They lied about having tables set. They hid from us when we tried to find a server. NOT ONCE DID THEY APOLOGIZE. Instead saying they had been hoping it wouldn’t (it had been raining all day). They made ZERO effort to offset their mistakes. They seemed to have no interest in serving or returning customers.We will continue to support local businesses but DEFINITELY NOT “The Hill”. ZERO STARS

The food was pretty good , especially the magi magi ceviche appetizer. The mushroom risotto was nothing memorable. However, the service was horrendous! I asked the waiter for some bread, after 15 minutes, i asked again because it never came. The waiter said they were still slicing it . Really? After another 15 minutes the bread finally arrived. Nobody cleared empty glasses, wine was never re filled. We asked for a second bottle of wine before the May n course was served, it came after we ate the food. There were mistakes on the bill. Anyone can make a mistake, but at least apologize, nothing. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
