Great picadillo(sp) very friendly service

I don't know if it was an off day but the soup, rice n beans n tostones were not good. But I was not happy and plan on never going back.

great food but they love shutting the phone down or not answer ...

I came to the restaurant this afternoon with a couple of friends we were all so hungry and really wanted some Latino flavor. When we ordered we asked for combo plates of steak with onions yellow rice, beans and salad....we were told they weren't selling the combo plates at this time but they have never taken the option off their menu....so we had no choice but to order everything separately. When we finally got our food they gave us white rice and beans that we didn't order. And the steak was paper thin with big veins of chewy gristle and it did not have any flavor at all. I was completely dissatisfied with everything! I took 2 bites and so did my friends I packed it all back up and took it back into the restaurant and very politely told them I was not happy with any of the food oh and it was cold. I explained that I was not trying to be rude in anyway or offend them I even apologized! The women told me I would have to wait until the owner came back before they could do anything. I went and waited in my car for 15 mins...when he showed up i went inside to speak with him and explained politely that i was not satisfied with they quality of the food. He was extremely disrespectful toward me saying I no give you money back you mix the rice and beans together....it made no sense because in order for me and my friends to eat we had to serve the food family style with a little of everything on each plate anyway, the owner continued to point out that he would not refund my money which was about 40$ of horrible food. And service. The only reason was because we served a spoon of rice with a spoon of beans on top. Absolutely ridiculous n I could see the greed...I realize times are tough but I honestly went back in with legit reasons as well as politely and peacefully trying to resolve the issue. They ended up allowing me to get a new meal worth the same or lesser value. The 2nd time around was just as bad. Flavorless and room temperature. The owner was a peice of work grumpy, rude and greedy and no class. I don't recommend this restaurant for any reason!
