Master J is very patient, attentive, and fun. My son has been a student of his since October 2019. Since that time, he has improved his strength, flexibility, and reflexes exponentially. He started the class, very low in confidence. The class is always mixing it up on the daily basis with fun activities, competitions, and disciplines. Because of the mixture, my son has been able to stay intrigued, which is why he will continue to improve. I thank Master J and his very nice and sweet wife, for all of their hard work and genuine care.nnAnd Master J is hilarious! ud83dude01

I have been to many Taekwondo schools in the Fort Lee area and I haven't found any that compare to Power Martial Arts. Master Jay and his wife Elisa are true martial artists who are passionate about teaching martial art skills as well as self-discipline. They do not run their school like a business solely to make money like many others.nnMy son has been at Power for almost 2 years now. He loves attending classes and loves seeing his own growth. Master Jay is caring, funny, and stern at the same time and is loved and respected by his students.nnThank you!

Definitely the best Martial Arts school!nI am now 20 years old and had almost no Martial Arts experience when I signed up (I did Judo back in Germany when I was 5 years old). It's been almost 4 months now and I feel like I already learned a lot!nMaster Jay does an incredible job teaching and he is very patient. He has the perfect mixture of motivating and pushing you to your limits, and being patient and understanding.nMaster Jay, Elisa and all of the students became like a family to me and every morning after waking up I'm happy to think about going to class at night.nnSo if you're thinking about starting martial arts, I can highly recommend to go to a trial class. It definitely doesn't matter how old you are, how much experience you have or how fit you are. If you take classes here you won't just learn awesome martial arts skills, you will also feel healthier and you will definitely get a second family :)

My wife and I had our son (7 years old) take trial lessons at 4 different taekwondo (TKD) schools in the area before deciding on signing him up at Power Martial Arts. It’s been about 2 years now and we still feel this was a great decision we made.nnI was initially reluctant to have my son sign up for TDK because most of the TKD schools seem to be operating with a strict business model in mind where making profit is the main drive. Power Martial Arts has a completely different focus. The school is run by 2 people – Master Jay and his wife Elisa – who love and enjoy martial arts and they seem genuinely motivated to teach it the right way.nnJust to list few other things that really stood about this school compared to others:n•tThey have strict creed on what the schools stand for where each student is pushed to become a better person (it’s not just about learning how to kick)n•tIt’s not just a TKD school, it’s a Martial Arts school. Teens and adults are also taught hapkido and judo as well as TKD. The overall teaching is very well rounded.n•tMaster Jay is great at keeping the lessons fun to keep the students engaged. But he also balances that out with stern discipline when needed. I saw too many TKD schools that were run like a “fun house” where kids were never disciplined even when necessary. I personally had no interest in sending my son to such schools.nnIf you are looking for martial arts schools in Fort Lee area for yourself or your child, I highly recommend Power Martial Arts.

Master Jae is truly gifted. My son had a hard time participating and focusing in class. Pretty much didn't want to listen and cried most of the time. Master Jae encouraged me to keep coming and take a few private lessons. So glad I did! I now have a son who can focus better, learns discipline and enjoys going to class. I'm so grateful for his dedication and care for ALL his students! Can't praise the school enough. We love Power Martial Arts!!!nnSusan R
