Alpine Lookout

One of the best stop to sit, relax and enjoy the Hudson River as you drive on this highway. And the beautiful view while you munch your snacks. A must place to stop if you need a quick break from a long drive.

This is a five star Lookout hands down, my wife, children and I have been here many times. Yesterday the parking lot was full, people walking around without masks as though there is no coronavirus.nnWe don't know how many people where in the store here, we absolutely knew that the store was packed, we were not going to risk our lives by entering.nnNormally this is a great spot to relax, yesterday relaxing without a mask can cost one their life. TO THE PEOPLE WHO WERE AT THE ALPINE LOOKOUT, WEAR YOUR MASK SO WE CAN COLLECTIVELY DEFEAT THIS VIRUS, OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT.

You cannot leave NYC by way of the PIP and not stop even for a few minutes at the scenic overlooks. No matter what time of year the views are spectacular. In the summer you will want to linger along the trails. In the fall - leaf peeping! Even winter when we've been there for a quick pit stop while the trees are bare you can see views that you missed in summer. A real breath of fresh air in spring and look forward to another spectacular year.

I like sitting on cliff look over Yonkers and Bronx skyline.
