Lakehurst Diner Restaurant

Tonight I had the Leg of Lamb and my husband had the Cajon Tuna. What a treat. Plenty of mint jelly, both dishes were very moist and FULL of flavor.nSteve was a great host and our waitress well deserved the tip we left. She was attentive and didn't leave us waiting for anything

Yesterday our family had lunch here. Due to the virus, it was outside dinning and the fly's were terrible. The management was very active in killing the flies and sanitizing the area after each kill as well as fly traps on the sides of the tent. The food was great, but when we were finished and asked for a to go box the waitress brought it to us and proceeded to scrape my granddaughters food into the box with her bare fingers. The waitress was very sweet and we do not wish for her to loose her job over this, but should be cautioned about touching food with bare hands. Normally I would have addressed it right then and there, but we were so shocked watching her do this that we were speechless.. That being said, I hope that the management will read this review and make sure that waitresses never touch a customers food. As you can guess, our left overs ended up in the trash.

I've dined here twice and both times the food was delicious {generous portions}, the service was impeccable {I had the same waiter both times}, and the staff was friendly. Just as an added bonus the hostess was a very beautiful young lady who was just as friendly as she was good looking.

Food was very good. I had a Italian burger with fries and really enjoyed it. My husband had the portable burger and also said it was very good. Oh how I have missed eating out. Thank you Lakehurst diner, see you soon.

So happy they are open again. Just had the BEST prime rib ever. We eat here at least once a week. Can't say that we have ever gotten something we didn't like. The seafood bisque is always yummy
