Butterfly Camping Resort

Writing this from my home on 8 Sept 2020. Left the campground early. Inconsistent and rude treatment.nnRecently purchased a camper, booked 3 days here with my girlfriend. Last week, in person was told we could have 1 vehicle on the site, with 6 guests maximum (I distinctly mentioned my 2 registered and 6 guests, around the campfire)nArrived solo and started set up without incident. Daughter and her husband joined and registered at $15 each as guests. While helping me set up they were parked next to me on the site unloading. A represent of the campground immediately hassled us about one vehicle per site. So we moved one. My girlfriend was still working, and due to arrive soon. When I got the call she was at the gate, I drove my truck outside and parked it.using my gate pass on her vehicle to drive thru we stopped at the office (was accused of trying to smuggle people in) and registered her and my other daughter. Now we have 5 total. Was told we are good, so went to the site. My son called, went to the office and registered His guest registration was $8, not the $15 his sister was... also another couple in office was denied entry of a guest due to FOUR PEOPLE maximum on site..... when my son arrived we stopped in the office and provided his vehicle info. Did not specifically add his wife since the individual at the counter just denied another couple.. parked his truck and with 7 total around the campfire, all blood family and spouse's. Gentleman pulls up with a golf cart and very rude commented that son's wife who was not registered had to leave immediately. Now. Not after eating a burger. Now. Comments about 4 maximum per site. Keep in mind, numerous other sites have 15 or more people onsite.. but since they are seasonal renters that must be ok? Likewise they can have multiple vehicles on each site? Told him why I didn't register one person which was cleared to join us verbally a few days prior, but with the office person denied another couple, did not want the hassle. He didn't allow me to register on the spot, insisted she leave NOW. I Pointed out that if we are forced to leave I would ensure every site have a full count, the gentleman decided to let me register the next day.nnI left the campground early and will not be back.nAbsolute discrimination that I have a tow behind, and only booked one weekend not a seasonal renter with a expensive RV??

This place was the perfect get away, went camping with my husband and two step children. Because of Covid we chose very carefully on where to go, however they put us at ease because every hour on the dot, workers came out with a disinfectant solution and even sprayed down the playground, super super impressed. Everyone was so nice, everything was nice and quiet and exactly what we needed! Thanks butterfly for a great weekend!!!!!! They also accommodated us for a 2 night stay instead of 3 for the holiday weekend as my has been away for the army due to everything going on. Highly recommend this place!

I just want to say, if your coming to the Jersey Shore and are looking for a campground, Butterfly is the place to stay. Great, helpful staff. Spacious spots. Nice and quiet. Seasonal campers are warm and inviting. Very friendly place to stay. Every site is cleaned after you leave. Nice shady spots. My husband and I only live about 25 minutes away and it's a great spot to come and decompress after a long week of work. Highly recommend

We had a great time. 4 of us in the deluxe cabin and it worked out perfectly.

My wife and I have visited this campground a few times. We are always very satisfied with our stays. The staff is excellent. We will be back again!
