Rainbow Diner Restaurant

Nothing spectacular but good.

Best diner in NJ. Always has been.

Food was good, very large portions. Only thing was, if you have CRAB meat stuffed shrimp on the menu, please give me crab meat and not IMITATION crab meat!! It was still good but definitely not what I expected or what I paid for. Husband had the Monte Cristo sandwich and said it was fantastic. We will probably be back.

Outdoor dining is available in NJ! Rainbow Diner has set up a tent in parking lot which shelters the majority while the tables are appropriately spaced. Their menu is smaller than previously but the food remains good. Our party of three had a Belgian waffle, pot roast and moussaka; all were deemed excellent. (I had the moussaka. What wonderful, aromatic flavor and texture.) Our server didn't walk - he ran, and was patient with our demands for beverage refills and salad.nnWe were patrons before the pandemic and will continue doing so.

I honestly have no complaints about this place. The food is great, the price is reasonable for the amount of food you get, the staff is nice and the building is nice in general. 10/10 will come again
