Al Modo Mio

My husband and I ate here Saturday night, although the food was decent we had to wait over an hour in between our appetizers and our meals as well as the two other tables seated near us who you could tell were also getting frustrated due to long wait for our food. We felt terrible for our waitress who came over multiple times asking if we need anything and letting us know our food was on the way.

The food and quality is excellent. Good things take time but if you’re enjoying your time at the shore and relax a bit, it’s not a big deal at all. The pizza is also very good, I have no idea what the other poster was talking about. Everything my wife and friends have ordered from here has been amazing.

This restaurant will only receive 4 stars because of 1 thing. Saturday night we were so excited to try a new restaurant. A lot of my friends raved about how this restaurant took precautions above and beyond. Our food was phenomenal even though we waited a while. We do understand quality takes time. We also understand as business owners of Jerry’s Farm Market that it’s rediculouslg impossible to find workers during this Pandemic. Our food was not the problem. It was our waitress. We gave a call to the restaurant the following morning to let them know how uncomfortable and unsanitary our waitress was. She would twiddle with her mask and continued to put the mask down. We didn’t know how to feel. We didn’t know if we should get her in trouble or just leave. With waiting that good amount of time for our food we knew we had to wait it out and just alarm the owners. It was scary to go into a restaurant knowing how unprofessional this employee could be. Her gloves were filthy touching our glasses to refill our waters. When we turned our heads from our table we also noticed her vaping in the back.I believe employees nowadays take advantage of business owners because they know they are very short handed. We know the owners and to have to call them and raise concern is so disruptive. I’m hoping they were able to control the situation. Our table next to us also felt the same way. Not sure if I could be back or go to any restaurants until this Pandemic comes to an ease.

Eating at Al Modo Mio was by far the best place that came to the entire town. Our service was exceptional. Will took care of us as if we were invited to his own home. We ate the Chicken special for dinner and had fried calamari as our appetizer. The amount of freshness in a plate was beyond outstanding. I am so glad this restaurant is now apart of the town. All protocols were taken. We haven’t eatin out since March and once we heard about this place, as rumors spread fast, it was only right to take the chance. This restaurant made us feel far more then comfortable. Our temperatures were taken before being seating along with having our hands sanitized. We were also told to keep our masks on before our food came out. We were actually okay with it being that there was a spike in our county. A lot of restaurants do not take the time to follow all CDC Guidelines. Although masks are not required to be worn when being seated, we felt as if this restaurant took more precautions to protect us and the others around us. I am so happy there’s a restaurant in town that is more of a fine dining atmosphere. I am also ecstatic that this restaurant takes all of its precautions no matter how hard businesses get hit. They look out for their customers. I will definitely support this business as we are new locals to this island.nCongratulations Al Modo Mio! Well done!

When I first heard Italian restaurant I had my doubts , but I promise you , you won't regret it! The food was delicious, the servers were great and friendly! Good place for family time or date time!
