Surf Taco - LBI Closed for the Season

Good tacos and tortilla chips but we didn't get salsa with our order. Ordered 10 veggie tacos, they came 2 in a box with chips which was nice but none of the boxes had salsa so that was disappointing. Would definitely go back though, just gotta double check theres salsa!

Ordered in the app while waiting outside. Received my food and took it to eat in the outdoor space, food was refrigerator cold despite not sitting for any length of time. It appears that food here is made in advance and then kept cool for later. In this case, they didn’t bother to microwave it ahead of time. Tip: Corn tortillas are meant to be served warm too.

Very poor experience at Surf Taco - LBI.nnBackground: Ordered online and instructed to pick-up in 40 minutes. Upon arrival, was told to wait outside for another 15 minutes due to a rush in orders. Re-entered in 15 minutes, found my order sitting on the table (who knows how long it had been there - no one checked with me as I sat right outside as told) and left. Beef taco was extremely cold, both surf tacos were packed terribly in foil - entire taco/shell dripping in the white cilantro sauce.nnFeedback: Upgrade your online experience and simply notify your customers. If a rush in orders, send a quick email saying the order is delayed so I am not waiting outside. Once my order is ready, send a quick email saying ready (rather than put the responsibility on the customer to set a timer). It's the lack of communication that leads to frustration. You have my email address, you made me create an account with it. Space out your pick up times so the kitchen isn't flooded with orders - this led to cold and hastily wrapped tacos.

The service was amazing. The people working there are super nice and accommodating. Best thing on the menu is the surf burrito (pro tip add cheese for $.50 extra!)

I can go on and on about how this place is so great, it’s got all the original tacos many many kinds great salads and everything is cooked absolutely wonderful. It’s very quick but usually a long line because of how popular they are. Thanks for a great experience I’ll be ordering more often!
