Salt Kitchen Restaurant & Bar at Hotel LBI

Lovely atmosphere (we sat out on the terrace), good food/drinks, generally, but service was just so-so for this price range (our bill was $300 w/tip for 4). The waiter/busboy were good, but a number of things marred the overall experience: our seating was not smooth; the wrong waiter greated us at first and offered water that then never came; the bread was nice but cold; cracked pepper wasn't offered at the right times; and service was slow overall. It felt like the place was understaffed and/or training some new, inexperienced staff. Not the best choice for a Saturday night. We definitely did NOT get the feeling of an upscale dining experience, so we were pretty disappointed even though we enjoyed the food. This restaurant has very good potential but its service needs polish.

Pleasantly surprised. We read mixed reviews so we waited until the end of the busy summer season to give it a try. The food was excellent and nicely presented. Wait staff was friendly.

Amazing! My husband and I ate here on Monday for our anniversary. Our waitress, Hannah, was so nice!! From the champagne and oysters, ahi tuna and ribeye, finishing off with delicious deserts, we were so pleased! The service was lovely- attentive but discreet. We’ll be back!

The food was delicious!! but honestly felt ripped off with the price. I ordered a rack of lamb---I did not receive a rack at all (less than half a rack). The Australian lobster was delicious, but it was an extremely (and not exaggerating) 1 small tail. At least they could have added vegetables to make the plate a little full. The alcoholic drinks was refreshing (can't complain).
