Always had a great experience. Frequently much less expensive than the dealership wants to charge for work but still use OEM parts and quality work. Easy to work with and they are always willing to educate you on what's going on with your vehicle. My family has been using Gold Wrench for 10+ years always with a great experience.
I'm sure they are good...once you can get in. Prices on a basic oil change or transmission flush are always estimates and they tend to not answer the phone to even schedule an appointment. They make it nearly impossible to support a small, local business. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere.
On two different occasions I’ve called Gold Wrench for different vehicles. Both time Mike answered and gave me an education over the phone about what might be going on.nnThe first time I had an older vehicle that he immediately knew what was wrong with it. I was able to go from losing power and the engine dying out to running like a change. And all it took was a piece of duct tape.nnThe second time was for my wife’s newer grand Cherokee. He gave me some things to try before I had to tow it in. And the estimate was almost half everyone else, which for the problem is all labor costs. They just know their stuff and can get it done!!nnWill only return to here as well as spread the word about this solid shop!!!
The Gold Wrench is the only place I will take my vehicles for repair and service. They are the most honest shop I have ever found. They have saved me thousands of dollars and their work is always excellent. They are worth driving to from anywhere in the Portland area.
My family has been using Gold Wrench for automotive repair for over 15 years. They are the only mechanic team I can 100% trust. Always have been treated like family.
