Nick's Charcoal Pit

Initially I tried Nick's about a year ago, and found my meal to be decent if unremarkable. After recently revisiting it, I was more impressed with my latest order. The boneless rib sandwich is fantastic-- the portion size is respectable and it packs exceptional flavor. The BBQ were also enjoyable, however they were mildly overdone and the flavor did not seem to have penetrated the outer layer of the meat. I have it on good authority that the buffalo chicken sandwich is also an excellent choice. I will likely be considering Nick's as a good choice for sandwiches going forwards.

Just spent nearly $70 for an incorrect delivery order and they have their phone set straight to voicemail so I can’t even reach them. We don’t want a refund (which grubhub did issue because they also are unable to reach Nicks via phone) we want our correct order. How do you mess up something so simple?? Horrible customer service, terrible experience. Stay away!!!!

Not terrible, but definitely not the best. The NY Strip steak platter was not satisfying and was bland. The ribs were alright, but they were no better than a chain restaurant (Chili's for example). The chicken was fine, but was not actually flavored - rather, it was just drowned in sauce with no seasoning - so when you got through the sauce the chicken had no taste. The spinach was okay, but it was pretty watery and could've been seasoned a lot more.

Nicks BBQnI ordered thru Grubhub on 11/07/2020. The rib and wing combo was quite delish and delivered hot for $16.95. Be prepared to wait 1 hour and 30 mins. Their tasty meats were cooked and sauced perfectly. I prefer my bbq cooked like Nick does it, old school, but my bf prefers the extreme smoke with a dry rub. The rib was my fav, it brought back nostalgic memories of great fam backyard bbq’s. The wings were good but whole wings are not my fav and they were tiny. I suggest buying the next size up. To my surprise, the fries were still crispy but there was soo few, only about 13 fries? I want more fries next time, Nick!nAlso, their well-known filet mignon sandwichy was good. Keep in mind, filet mignon costs about $6 more a pound that great cheesesteak meat, therefore don’t expect the meat to overflow the lovely sarcone’s roll and you won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing. The employees were very friendly and the food is always consistent! I got the wings and the rib/chicken platter, large portions and everything was delicious! The fries were crispy and coleslaw was perfect. The bbq sauce is Smokey and they def don’t skimp on sauce, which is very important to me. There’s nothing I don’t like about this spot .
