Taco Caballito

My wife and I took my niece and nephew here on 9/28 for a last minute dinner and were VERY impressed with the service mainly from a young man who took our order as well as brought it to our table. He was courteous , professional and genuinely could teach other small businesses proper customer service. My wife and I both noted his great attitude to ourselves so I’ve been meaning to post this review. On top of that, the food was pretty good too. Interesting taco fillings and other side dishes as well. A welcome surprise in the ‘burbs.

Stopped here spontaneously on the way home because we love tacos. Our food was pretty good, nothing mind-blowing but worth the price. What made this a 5 star review vs 4 star was the service. We were sitting outside and just as we realized we needed a bottle opener for our sodas, the girl working ran out with a bottle opener and said “I realized you got bottles so I figured you’d need this!” It was a thoughtful touch that she went out of her way to do that even after we left.

Just tried this place today , I had a little hesitation at first when I looked at the prices but honestly it was fantastic. I got the Nachos Grande with ground beef. It was AMAZING . Tons of flavor and large enough for two people to eat. If you're just starting off I recommend trying this first as it has a great flavor profile and will really give a good idea what the rest of the food is like!

Definitely an improvement switching over to the new name. Fish tacos were exquisite. The coconut shrimp tacos were out of this world. 5 stars all day!

Tried twice already. Both times we ordered different things; what I found in common is extremely small portions. Both times I was left starring at my empty take out container still hungry. Potential is there, but the portion to price ratio is a bit off. I’ll try again one more time in the future to see if there’s changes. But don’t compare this place to Taco Lindo, you’ll be left disappointed. I will say the staff I encountered both times were personable and friendly. Like I said, potential is there.
