Clancy's by the Sea

Went for dinner last night. Was seated quickly but the service and food were not that good. The waitress told us the specials and then asked if we needed more time. We said yes but then it took her 20 minutes to come back to take our order. Mind you they were not that busy. My son ordered the Island Shrimp. It was so over cooked he could barley eat it. I ordered the crab cakes. They looked like 2 little patties with a bunch of green and red peppers in them. There was more peppers than crab. For $22.95 a plate I expected a decent size crab cake. My grandson ordered the kids pizza and the sauce tasted like ketchup. First and last time going there.

Clancy’s by the Sea was perfect. We were seated right away and our waitress was super friendly and was there when we needed her. The food was delicious and filling. Would definitely go back and recommend for a nice dinner at the boardwalk.

A very nice place on the beach.nnWe are visiting OC for the first time and this place was recommended.nnGreat choice. It was a cool might so we started with a cup of Clancys chowder. Excellent start.nnMy wife had the salmon, and I had the stuffed flounder. Both great choices.the only thing to make it better would have been some wine.

The food was enjoyed across three generations in our family. A class act from all who tended to us. We are definitely coming back for more meals!

very good food and service. outdoor dining was very pleasant, off the boardwalk, but near the beach for that ocean air. I believe indoor dining has returned in part.
