Whippoorwill Campground

We stayed here for two nights in order to camp and go to Ocean City. The campground sites are very close to each other, which made for a difficult back-in. Thankfully, a handy neighbor helped me out. When it rained on the day of check out, we discovered 3 inches of water under our rig. The site was swampy after the rain as was the site next to us (We were in 34, and 35 was the one next to us). The site we stayed on was dirt, no gravel or stone. I am not sure if the water level issue was because of the spot being close to the pool. Firewood was ample, delivered, and very reasonably priced. The essential hookups were good, but the sewer pipe did not have an appropriate screw on or sealed cover, and our neighbor's sewer used a rock to cover the drain; it seemed a little unorthodox, especially when you are dealing with black water. The pool was well maintained. And the people (staff and others) were very friendly.

I really enjoyed this campground. The mobile home was really nice and huge.nThe pool was awesome. Bathroom was clean . wish they had more bathrooms and showers by the pool though.nFood and snack were very reasonably priced. Great friendly customer service.nWould definitely do this again.

We love Whippoorwill Campground! It was the first place we camped, and we've always had great times. Excellent location and friendly staff!

Last time I was there was 24 years ago. It was a great experience then, great owners, don't know if it's still the same owners. The pool was the big attraction. I moved out of the area and now I'm back. Hope to go in July!

Whippoorwill Campground is a diamond at the shore! We are a family of six with two kids and two dogs and stayed for five nights. We loved every second at this beautiful location. The sites are shaded, the campground is very quiet, the residents are friendly and the staff is very accommodating. I have never seen a cleaner, more organized campground before staying at Whippoorwill Campground. While we stayed before all the amenities were opened due to COVID-19, when fully open, it has a lot to offer. Great programs at the Roost, arcade, playground, pool, grille and dog park. In addition to the activities at the campground, it is perfectly located to various fun at the Southern Jersey Shore. In less than 20 minutes you can be at Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cape May or Wildwood. We will definitely be going back!!
