Amazing place thats not so far away from major cities. Nice sand, warm water even in late September. A light house you can climb near by with a gift shop and plaques all over the place to learn about the history of the lighthouse and cape may.

I took a nice little walk from the lighthouse to observe this interesting bunker from WW2. It is not accessible, except from the view from the outside. You can tell that this landmark needs to be restored desperately. It is definitely worth checking out for anyone that visits the lighthouse.

The battery itself offers little as an attraction, other than the fact that it's cool. Still, that's more than reason to check it out while you're in the area.

Interesting place. A small piece of history at the south jersey shore.

Walked out there but didnt see a way in because apparently wasn't safe to enter. Nice walk out on the sand.
