Cape May Lighthouse

If you are looking for a place to relax when the weather allows with warmth and great sunlight, then you are at the right place here. Not too many people here either. Some people are bird watching and some people are to just enjoy stroll at the beach with their family. I wanted to make it more fun as I have a toddler to have roll around and walk around without worrying about sand and such. I brought sand and water resistant picnic mat. The place has such great scenery and clean environment that we were able to relax altogether with lighthouse in the background. Therefore, if you are looking for a calm place efor family to have a quick relaxing time for the weekend to get some outdoor time and air, then try this place out =)

You can't beat Cape May Lighthouse. Yes, is open to climb.

Very pretty and well preserved lighthouse. Picturesque. But the highpoint in the bird watch platform on the other side of the parking lot. The is the birding capital of the US and it is easy to see why. Spectacular guide there who pointed out all the birds. Amazing raptor migration!

Admission is $10 but in my opinion the experience is worth the money. The employees we encountered were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Also, it's good to get the workout of walking up and down the 199 steps. The views from the top are great but be mindful it's extremely windy.
