Irish Memorial

Truly awe-inspiring. A hidden gem of a memorial near the Philly waterfront depicting the plight of the Irish immigrants from the potato famine. Very interesting and informative and such a thoughtful centerpiece, which is a cast of what appears to be clay work, as one very large piece portraying the timeline from the discovery of the potato famine straight up to the arrival of the starving immigrants in the new world. Wonderfully thought out and a must see if you're touring around the waterfront,even if only for a quick visit.

Nice monument

Beautiful tribute to the millions of people who suffered under the 1840's genocide in Ireland (by the british). A must see, not just for Irish people.

Stumbled upon this memorial - a pleasant surprise

Great hidden little park, that includes a small dog park. The statue commemorating the plight of the Irish immigration to the US is the focus of the park and it is brilliant. Erin Go Bragh!
