We go here often, it is so beautiful and the history is so moving! Just to think the ground you are walking on at Red Bank Battlefield was once that, a battlefield! The house is open to tours at certain times and in the summer there is an area for butterfly's and you can walk through it and see tons of them in all their life stages. The walk is nice and never gets old, most time you can see boats and the like out in the river. Kids always enjoy the huge ship playground. There is always a playground for toddlers and there is so much shade!

What a gem! The picnic area has an outlet and grills in the back. It's the perfect place for a brief meetup, crockpot of chili and some corn bread. The rest rooms are spotless and the janitor works to keep it that way. If you see him please stop by and thank him for keeping things safe for everyone. Kindness and recognition is especially appreciated when placing yourself at risk everyday.

Very nice park, very well kept. Pavilions and other picnic facilities. Found the restrooms looking and smelling (difficult to maintain at public parks) sparkling clean . loved sitting on a park bench overlooking the Delaware River eating our picnic lunch. Naturally the benches age over time and are not always in great condition - these are like new - constructed with finished composite deck boards.nnThe monuments describing the battle we very instructive but not overdone in content. Don't know when the Whitall house is open. It was closed when we were there - as well as when our friends visited another time. No information posted about thisnnA bonus - we enjoy planting flowers in our backyard which draw butterflies and watching them go through their lifecycle: eggs to caterpillars, to chrysalis, to butterfly. Well, there is a large butterfly garden and an hoophouse for butterflies in the park.nnWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit on a beautiful summer day.

It's a beautiful Park along the Delaware River. There's a playground area for kids. They have picnic tables. Benches throughout the park to sit on. If you like to walk for exercise they have a nice wide sidewalk that goes around the whole park. I've been going to this park for years. I've always felt safe there by myself because there's always somebody around. And they have people that work on the grounds they're always riding around checking on things. They have handicap parking in three different areas.

Fun for the whole family. Great place to experience American Revolutionary War history. Also, plenty of scenic paths to walk it jog. Spectacular view of the Delaware river and Philadelphia. In a clear day, you can see both the Commodore Barry and Delaware Memorial bridges.
