Garden State Barbell

I joined this gym last year with my wife for the 16 weeks challenge. They will tie you up in a contract and the conditions are such that if you try to cancel in case you do not attend at least 3 days in week for 4 months then they will charge you a cancellation fee of 200 $ per person. They did not disclose this on the first day but said that i can cancel anytime. The trainers are unfit themselves and don't care if you are doing the exercises properly or not. They will write some exercises on the board and let the class follow it for 20 minutes and that's it.

Great program to lose weight. I sat through the presentation. Very informative. Unfortunately I am recovering from major surgery that has me sidelined for the moment.

One of the best gyms in NJ and definitely the best in the area. Tons of specialty bars, strongman gear, and other pieces of equipment you won't find in a commercial gym like sleds, tires, a reverse hyper, GHR, and more. Owner is extremely friendly and seems very passionate about strength training. If you are in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I’m going to stop by GSB on all of my future visits to the area. It’s a great powerlifting gym.nnThey have ample equipment and everything is top of the line. I noticed 2 traditional power racks, a belt squat machine, a nice looking monolift, a deadlift platform, and a handful of benches. They also have great barbells by Rogue and Buddy Capps and all of the accessories that you’d ever need.nnLong story short, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Amazing atmosphere, tons of equipment, helpful and insightful staff, and home to many elite athletes makes Garden State Barbell the best gym I have ever been in. If anybody wants to take their training to the next level, or start your training the right way, go to GSB.
