EFFIZZI is an awesome place to go for any type of braiding style. The staff is simply wonderful!!! The salon is immaculate and very well maintained. However- the best part of EFFIZZI is Leo. She is one of the best braided that I have ever worked with. Not only is she extremely good but she is honest and cares about hair care. I wanted a particular style and she would not do it because it would harm my hair eventually. You want that quality in a stylist - not just someone that will do what you want, take your money and ruin your hair. Leo spent hours on my hair giving me a great style that would work best for my hair texture. I will always go back to her and cannot recommend her enough!!! Thank you soo much Leo!!!!

New to the area and I wanted braids, I called and made an appointment right away after reading reviews. Chi Chi was very friendly. When you first walk in they check your temperature and ask you to wash your hands. I love that they sanitize their area after each customer. I got box braids done by Leo and I love her already. She took great care of my hair and most importantly my edges. I will be back and I will always request her to do my hair. Thank you for the great customer service.

This was my first time at EFFIZZI and I do plan on returning because of how well my braids turned out and the efficiency of my braider, Mimi. She did an excellent job of braiding tightly but not painfully and also did a great job on my edges. I’m able to make facial expressions and put my hair up without any pain or discomfort.nnAlso I appreciate the precautions they took to ensure safety during the pandemic. The owner took my temperature when I arrived and my chair was disinfected before I was allowed to sit down. All of the braiders wore masks the entirety of my appointment.nnMy experience wasn’t perfect but I know those are things that salon can improve on. The first thing is that all of the client chairs are not in front of the mirrors so we cannot see ourselves while our hair is getting done. I wish I was able to see my hair as it was getting braided because I would’ve been able to see that the color I chose was not blended well with my hair and I could’ve expressed that to my braider. (This was my first time getting a lighter color [blonde] with my dark brown hair so next time I will ask them to blend a darker color in first for my roots)nnAnother thing was that my braider’s toddler son was in attendance and as the average child, he was seeking attention from his mother throughout our appointment. My braider did very well with handling her son and I understand with the pandemic he may not be in school or may not be able to find child care so I will not hold that against her. But it did prove to be a distraction from her work at times.nnThe last thing was there was no toilet seat in their facilities which made it difficult to use the restroom.nnLike I said, I will probably return to EFFIZZI in the future as this was a trial run for me to find a braider for my wedding. But I did want to point out some of the instances that made my appointment a little less than perfect. Thank you again Mimi I love my braids!

I said I wanted micro braids on the phone. When I got there they said they don't do them so I got small braids done. They looked nice on the outside after a gallon of mousse. I didn't look at the inside middle until 2 days later and it was so raggedy. The parts were a mile apart. My daughter had her done and it was nice. I have to say that I haven't gotten my hair braided in a professional shop in a few years bcuz of my health. The woman who did my hair was very compassionate caring and understandable. She answered the phone while doing my hair which was fine bcuz I got to stretch my back. When I got pains during her braiding she rubbed my shoulders and head which helped me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars Instead of 5 is the price. I got cornrows and single braids in back. I was told the price would be $140 over the phone but after my hair was done the price went up to $180. My braids were just under my shoulder blades not my butt like everyone else.
