Pizza City

Great neighborhood place, really love the cheese steaks.nnIf you've been in the neighborhood, you've no doubt seen their delivery pickup trucks with the large propane powered warming boxes in the bed.nnIt's a cash-only place, but there's a bank with an ATM next door (so no major problems for people with debit cards).

I love this place. The medium Pepperoni is my favorite. This place has been there for 51 years for a reason. I have been getting food there all of my life. Even when I moved away from the area, I'd go back just to get a Pizza from there because I missed it. And the owners are always greet me when i go to pick up, as if they missed me. The dough tastes so fresh. They even have ovens on the back of their trucks to keep your food warm. No other stores do that in Philly. And It seems to be an over looked hidden gem amongst Pizza places because places in Far NE Philly always get ignored by the Philadelphia Magazine. Long live Pizza City.

I ordered over the phone for pickup. I went to pickup but didn’t have a mask. They said call and we’ll have someone bring it out to you. I was at their door and offered to give them the card and then have it brought out. The older guy at the counter threw my card back to me and said he couldn’t take it and that card can only be used for orders above $20. I was wrong for no Mask but who wants to drive back home for that. I think it could have been handled better.

Its bin there for along as I can remember...consistent..for is good for a corner shop
