Downtown Pizza and Grill

This is a super cozy place in the heart of downtown Mt.holly, definitely the place to have a cute date night or nice dinner with your friend’s! If your doing takeout definitely call about 30 mins ahead there always packed but the food will definitely be yummy!

Downtown pizza has ZERO regard for the health and safety of its guests. Today, I walked in to place a carry-out order. While waiting for my food, I witnessed the owner of the store walk around behind the counter without a mask on. I saw him cough into his hands and then slide a pizza into the oven. I saw him grab what appeared to be a sandwich (his lunch) from off the top of the pizza oven, take a bite, and, without washing his hands, return to the main serving counter. Why? WHY? One of the cooks also did not have his face mask on as he was cooking. The only person I saw wearing a mask (fully and without removing it) on staff was the young woman at the register and and older man who seemed to be a delivery driver. Good leadership and responsibility starts at the top, and this owner clearly does not care about his staff or his guests. Even though I paid for my food, I was so appalled, I walked out without my order. See ya never.

Stopped by for a quick take out meal. The pizza is good and so were the wings. Good to read the reviews and then the reality of actually writing a review yourself after trying out the food is pretty interesting. Definitely a good stop.

Awesome environment and very friendly service. The meals were fresh and delightful. Will clearly recommend this spot to friends. Affordable prices and large meals. Great job.
