Asked for a deferred payment, provided all documentation, then told they would “work with us and they will make it all work out”. Received a phone call stating if a payment wasn’t made within 10 days that a 30 day late payment would be reported to credit bureaus. When asked why is this happening when we asked for a deferment, they said that the payment was not actually “deferred” but that they were just trying to work with everyone. They took zero responsibility/accountability and kept passing the buck, stating things like “well it won’t affect the credit that much” or “we never said it was deferred”, and at one time stated that this was our fault. I explained that this is not “working” with anyone, this is telling people that it will be ok, when in actuality they are not doing anything but allowing people to be late and suffer the normal consequences, and then turning around and blaming the people? She put us on hold, then came back saying that the late payment would hit but then hopefully after 90 days it would be fixed. The only point I wanted to get across was that they should not be lying to people, and they could not even admit that they were lying, instead they passed the buck even more saying, “we’ve never deferred a payment before” or “we didn’t know if would hit the credit” . Again o explained that that is what they should be telling people, the truth. Bottom line is that if they can’t do anything to help, that is ok, but they need to be honest and explain to people that at this tome they are unable to defer payments and that late payments will be reported to the credit bureaus.

Went from 5 stars to 0 in a year. Worst APR% I've been served ever. I'm paying 3x as much as the vehicle is worth. Had other creditors tell me that I got taken advantage of and theres no way into "refinancing for cheaper payments" violated my contract and paychecks. Dont come here if your new into buying vehicles they'll take advantage of it.

After having a couple issues, I was able to speak with Joe and he got things sorted out. He has always been good to deal with. Thank you for taking matters into your own hands and making things correct. Good job!

I had an awesome experience at American Auto. Back in March I totalled my Subaru and had to begin the process of buying a new car. Joe was totally awesome and found me the perfect car. I still love my Honda CR-V! I highly recommend them.

I got such a great deal shopping with these folks. I purchased an entire living room set and an entire bedroom set and got it for a price cheaper than I could have got anywhere else even in Reno. They were willing to negotiate discounts with me on all of the furniture and I got a really good deal. And now I'm enjoying my new king size bed and my awesome sectional sofa with built-in recliners. I'll definitely be back.
