Crowded on weekends, but great place for an outing
When I was a child, many years ago, Atlantic City was the shore of choice. There was the sand, the water and on the boardwalk shops and Steel Pier with rides, arcades and shops. It made for an ideal day trip, one children often remember. In the 70s, the casinos came along and brought entertainment and restaurants. When my children were born, many years ago, we kept the tradition of day trips. As small children, they loved the sand and surf. As young adults, they still love it. Atlantic City has much to offer. There are The Tangier Shopping outlets, Gardner's Basin with awesome restaurants and an aquarium. The casinos and beach bars and plenty of restaurants for entertainment. The beach is relatively clean, has lifeguards (always a plus) and if needed you can even rent umbrellas and chairs. Look forward to the next summer season!
Really enjoyed our first visit to Atlantic City Boardwalk on Sunday October 4, 2020. The portions we walked were pretty clean. Word of advice: BRING CASH! We only traveled with credit & debit cards. Shops & restaurants on the Boardwalk charge an additional 4% if you do not pay with cash. Many of them won't even accept cards unless you are spending at least $10. Other than that, we enjoyed it. The beach was beautiful and clean too.
Lots of shops and casinos located on both sides here. It’s beautiful when the sun comes up. Less tourists better quality. By the way, americans love this kind of boardwalk along the beach.
The beach is free and they have added things to do like go carts and beach front bars but the boardwalk is still overcrowded and ridiculously overpriced
