Von Holten Ranch

I want to give a huge shout out to Brandy and David Von Holten and their staff for the hard work they have put in to creating an awesome venue for the annual Country Tough 2 Versatility (CT2V) competition! If even for just a weekend outing you must add The Von Holten Ranch as a destination place for 25 miles of trail riding, arena riding, and an obstacle course for skill development. It has the amenities one would think of to make a comfortable weekend for both you and your horse.nnWhen it comes to the equine world, I am hands down the “city slicker” in my family. This summer my family and friends entered the CT2V competition and challenged me. I caved and figured I better see if Enterprise or Hertz rented horses so I could join in too. So now with a borrowed horse, some friendly razzing, and competitive smack talk between friends we all made the trek.nnOnce at Von Holten Ranch, and competitiveness aside, I was impressed with how efficient the venue was laid out with drive through electric sites, proximity of camp sites to equine stalls, the covered arena, and the air-conditioned bath house. There were a variety of trails to choose from for a leisure ride with natural obstacles. We enjoyed how secluded the ranch was so we could enjoy the star filled night sky as we sat around the campfire talking about our trail rides. With Von Holten Ranch being a working ranch, we were lucky that our site was next to their calves. I had some rather deep conversations with the calves while I enjoyed my morning coffee.nnDespite a year full of uncertainties, one thing remains certain, time spent with family and friends will always be the most cherished. Our trips down to Von Holten Ranch this summer have created new friends, tons of memories, and needed relaxation. I wish both Brandy and David continued success and I will be returning regularly!

Where do I even start ????? I have been here twice now and working on the third time in just a few weeks. Von Holten Ranch is an amazing facility with horse trails , nice large creek that the horses love as well as the kids for some cool down , covered arena and an obstacle course to play on . They offer a shower house , cold drinks and food options inside the office , ice cream and you can buy bags of ice. They do offer hay bales and shavings for sale and most importantly they have a tip jar in the office that you can leave your stall dirty and they bring someone out to clean it, it’s a great deal just remember your cash ! I have enjoyed the facility and so has my daughter that has only been once , she loved it so much she wants to come back down for her birthday to have her party down there ! We live Over 2 hours from this place but it’s worth the travel ! Brandy and David are amazing you couldn’t ask for 2 better people to run a facility like this and offer the best of the best !

Great Lee Hart clinic. Beautiful trails and fun, outdoor obstacle course. Nice bathrooms, showers, camping sites w/electric or cabins for rent. For the horses there are open air, covered stalls, water and hoses, wheelbarrows with cleaning forks. They also have shavings and hay for sale. And..in the officer are some goodies to purchase, including honey sweetened, local made ice cream in a variety of flavors.

This place is LOVELY, went there for women's trail event. Owners are so kind and the set up is perfect. HIGHLY recommend

One of our favorite places to camp with family! Something to do for everyone and the Mountain Trail Course is awesome! Great customer service!
