Made me show for appointments then when I was in the building he'd have to reschedule. Sided with the other people. Wont give you an itemized recipet when as for...and keeps all the retainer, but does know his way around the court room. Goes on and on about his life from previous job

Old school but knows his s**t. Hard to get ahold of but he’s busy and he does eventually call to update you when the courts provide him an update. I thought I had an uncontested divorce with 50/50 custody that changed to contested with no custody sharing so yea. Tom was able to catch my ex in a couple of lies she gave in her deposition which didn’t ruin her but let the judge see exactly what we were working with. It was also great when he put my ex wife’s boyfriend or “fiancé” (they’ve still not set a date..) AKA someone who shouldn’t try to be involved in our divorce settlement nor involved with custody between my ex and I. My ex wife’s boyfriend kept saying “I’ve been (my son’s) stepfather for the last five years. Tom told him, “you’re not married to XYZ (my ex-wife I’m not giving out names here) and you haven’t adopted her son if you were married that makes you a nothing! His father is Fisher and his mother is (ex-wife) that is all there is are far as parents of this child!!!” Then during a hearing he tried to complain to the judicial referee saying “that lawyer said I have no rights to my stepson” and she replied “he’s not even your stepson and Mr. Slorby is correct you don’t have any parental rights to this child ud83eudd23nHe isn’t the cheapest lawyer in town, but the rate I got $4000 was $2000 less than the next quote I got from a different law firm. Also, his legal assistants, especially Lisa, are wonderful, knowledgeable, and great at keeping you in the loop when need be. Totally thrilled with Tom. Also former Ward County States Attorney, and was named best lawyer by the Minot Daily News in the mid-2000’s. I can’t believe some woman said “too old to fight in court” (actually she misspelled “too”) but really? So you want a rookie lawyer in his 20’s go get one then.

To say that we were disappointed in this so called lawyer would be the biggest understatement I have ever made. I will start by first off saying that the first time we met with him in his stale smelling, messy office; he had stains down the front of his shirt, messy hair, completely unorganized. Not like any lawyer I have ever seen before, and in my line of work I deal with plenty. When we initially spoke with him over the phone he was very polite, nice, seemed to genuinely care about our situation. (My stepsons mother would not let us see him) Well that COMPLETELY changed when we gave him a retainer and met him in person. He refused to let us talk and I do mean refused, as in EVERY TIME we opened our mouths, he interrupted us. He proceeded to tell me (the stepmother of 5 years) that it doesn't affect my life, has nothing to do with me. I don't need to be involved. That's a quote, those were his exact words. I was so livid at this point that I walked out the office. My husband stayed in there, as he's passive. He is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of and HORRIBLE at returning calls. By midway through the custody battle, we felt as though he was 110% on the other parties side! We felt as though we could have VERY EASILY gotten more than we did, the judge was certainly on our side, however we did not feel like Tom was. He didn't fight for us, and he agreed with the other party that every other weekend for us all year long was 50/50. Our 7 year old knows that that is in fact no where near 50/50. I think we could have gotten better outcome had we represented ourselves. He is by far the most unprofessional lawyer I have seen in all my years. I HIGHLY recommend using somebody, ANYBODY else! I genuinely hope this helps!

I hired Slorby Law Firm to represent me in a couple criminal cases ive.in had charged to me in which have started turning very inrersting with the start of each day. Toms one of the busiest guys I know as i see him on the move all the time . If hes not arguing some ones innocence in a court of law .. hes proving it with evidence and pictures hes gathered from the actual scene or saves it for further reference in which ever case hes working on . Ive had calls in to Tom and his office and have also waited replys for a day as he was workn to get the answer i was lookn for before he returning my call. .. His office staff are the most pleasant girls ive had the chance to work with and are always smiling with positive atitudes towards which ever cases they take on . Im glad ive hired this team of professionals to prove my inocence on both charges as they have worked day and nite on my.case and have used all.evidence ive provided in a positive way and I know after all their hard work on this cases and if no credibility can be found to suport the statements on the prosecutio side that are so damning to me and my reputation they more than deserve an awsome review and also if Tom takes day or two to return my phone calls or mesages I now know why .. GREAT JOB GUYS !!
