Our overall family experience here was okay ,(2 adults, kids 8 & 11). Gave us a nice insight to the area and floating on the Elk river.nnThe campsite with electricity and the shelter was decent. Just didn't know it was right next to a Tyson processing plant. We could really smell it the first day we were there. Either we got used to it or the wind changed because we didn't smell it after. Friends who stayed in a cabin before said they didn't even know the plant was there.nIf camping with a tent, the canoe sites were nice and flat with trees overhead. Many showers (cost $0.50) and outdoor sinks as well as hand sanitizers between showers and bathrooms.nnWe did the 5 mile float on a raft which we enjoyed. We definitely will use tubes next time and see if there is a campsite that offers a shorter trip. My 8 year old was done within 1 hour into it. The river was also low so we look forward to trying again when it's higher.nThe bus ride to the river was quiet. No information or conversation from the driver or ranch hand. Wish we would have been given a heads up on what to expect, i.e. low water levels to push the raft, little blue signs along the river that say how much farther you have (some where covered by branches and difficult to see).

Had many out door activities for all ages. The float trip was awesome as well! About 2 miles or 4 hours too long for me personally, but aside from that I loved this place! The wedding was beautiful above all!

Great experience for a first time float. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and ample. Would have probably been 5 stars except for the fact that when I called mid week to confirm food options (catering vs. Cafe, etc) the young lady indicated that the Cafe was open 5pm to 10pm in Saturday. Well.. the Cafe/ concessions were not open at any time during our stay. So we had planned dinner there Saturday after out float and had to make last minutes changes. (There is a little Cafe and really good pizza joint less than 5 minutes away!) Lastly, you can tell it is near the end of the season - the general store was very picked over, but did have most of what you would need in a pinch. Overall, great trip - will surely stay here again!
