Had a great evening here in my tent. This would be a good place to take a family as the campground stayed relatively quiet once it got later into the evening.nThe owners seemed pleasant enough when I met them briefly.nReally pretty hiking trail around the dam on the St. Francis river. The river rock makes some interesting shapes and is fun to climb over when the river is low.

We stayed on the electric side, with our tent, because there is quicker access to the river via a small rocky beach area. We were able to wade in the river, as it was chest to shoulder deep. I'd suggest life vests for children because there are a few quick currents. Definitely a beautiful area. But then again, I love Missouri! The hosts were super nice. They let us move from the non river side to the campsite we ended up staying at. Can't wait to go again!

The place itself is beautiful, however the (Karen) Doris that owns the place is a miserable person. She will go out of her way to make sure you and your family don’t feel welcomed. Needs more signage but cool set up. Hopefully new management will step in soon, could be a really great place with the right leaders. Explains why they don’t own marble creek anymore. Parks and rec probably stripped it from them.

Never got to experience the place. Website said it was open so I drove a hour to be greeted by 6-7 park rangers wasting time guarding gates. Why are parks not open but beaches are?

We did a kayak trip from Silver Mines down to E Highway bridge. It was a peaceful and very pretty float which was perfect for our small group of amateur kayakers. The float took about 2:30 to 3 hours and we didn’t hurry through but didn’t stop either. There were a few spots you could have stopped and swam if ya wanted especially once June and July months hit
