The service was good. The brisket was undeniably the best brisket I have ever had at a restaurant. Had a wonderful smoke ring. It was sliced at a 1/4 inch against the grain like it should be. The bbq sauce was excellent. I would have given 5 stars if the atmosphere had been a little better.
It was good, nothing special pretty average food, pulled pork, brisket both where cold. Potato (mustard base) and coleslaw (cream base) both tasted like generic store bought gallon bought. Deep fried mushrooms, now it may just be a Chillicothe thing but they where sliced breaded and fried. Never had them that way and not really a fan very bland taste. But as a rule when traveling I don't eat chain and nothing I can at home so, take a chance and eat some place new sometimes it's a win sometimes it's just meh. Oh and the waitress was a rockstar.
Excellent catfish. The fried appetizer platters are enormous and way more than we could eat even with 8 people. The BBQ was delicious and a great atmosphere in a cool old building. Their restrooms were inadequate though and didn't have locks on the doors so we didn't use them.
Best Pulled Pork I've had! Definitely worth a couple hours drive. I look forward to returning.
The food was great! Service was much to be desired. Cook cursing, dishwasher took his drinking cup scooped it in the ice bin and drank over the ice bin. Then did it again. No gloves. To go orders sitting the tables the whole time we were there. Floors had food all over them. Such a shame because the food was good until watching all this transpire in front of us. They were also out of brisket and sausage.
