Legion Iron

Incompetence bordering on theft. This gym has some nice equipment and good prices, but it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a membership. They make you jump through hoops (including coming in person to fill out and sign a form) to "submit a cancellation request". After that? THEY KEEP BILLING YOU. I called 3 times and finally had to pretend to be a new customer to get them to answer me and stop the recurring fees. If you sign up, be prepared to pay a monthly membership for the rest of your life

Best place to workout

Legion Iron is a really big facility with a really great atmosphere. I found refuge there after going to different CrossFit gyms, and I prefer it to other lifting gyms I've been to. Plus being able to come in whenever I want is one of the best parts.

The owner made up a story about a “cancelation policy” for this supposedly no-contract gym. They will try to make you pay for an extra month when you want to leave. You do not have to pay this because you did not sign a contract and this policy is not disclosed anywhere. Dispute these charges on your credit card and you will get a full refund. They just do not understand how a month to month no-contract gym works. Do not expect to simply pay for a month and get to use the gym for a month with no strings attached.

This is definitely not a commercial gym, this is a home for people who make lifting a passion. Theres no top 20 playing on the speakers, no lunk alarms, and no closing time. The people are great the equipment is in great condition by solid brands. I'll be a member for as long as I'm in abq
