Having a blast with the family. Hot dog's and burgers on an open grill. Taking in the freedom while we still have it. To bad the lake is shut down, or I'd be swimming.
Good place to camp. One of the last state parks in Missouri that still rent kayaks and canoes.
There are restrooms and SHOWERS available for paid campers at NO extra cost. They offer 2 washers and dryers as well for a small fee ( I think $1.00- $1.50 ). There is firewood and ice for purchase along with a store that offers books, toys and the toiletries you may have lost or forgot ie. Toothpaste! Lol The restrooms are cleaned twice a day (closed during this time) and they have installed hand soap!
Great place! Very clean management is very friendly
Wonderful isolation during the week + being the off season...actually have to force myself to slow down.
