This place is unique with a well in the middle of an intersection in the middle of town the people are laid back and eager to serve customers.

The Pump is a LaRussell treasure that has sent many a weary traveler to the emergency room. I was fortunate enough to have been alive when you could actually crank the handle and pump out unfiltered brown well water. Its a must see if you are in the area for God knows what reason. Maybe seeing the other tourist hot spot, the FU highway sign? But that's for another post entirely.

Some say it's a distraction or should be removed. It's a part of the city's history. It's similar to having an orange cone in the roadway, you drive around it (plenty of room on both sides, so if you hit it, obviously you aren't paying attention).

This is a horrible attraction and also it dangerous attraction.nThis has caused quite a few an accident due to the location of it.nIt is nothing but a big piece of cement slapped IN the middle of the road, causing distraction!!!!
